Building High-Performing Software Teams

Profile picture

Hello! I’m Ivy Huang.

I'm a Senior Product Designer with a decade of experience across product, experiential, and digital design. My career spans digital agencies, e-commerce, consulting, and the public sector.

Most recently, I was part of Open Government Products, a fast-paced, experimental product development teamwithin the Singapore Government, where I served as the product designer for RedeemSG, the national voucher distribution platform.

Previously, I was a Senior Product Designer at Tanzu Labs, where I led design within cross-functional teams and helped organisations become more user-centric by enabling high-performing, autonomous product teams. I partnered with clients such as Sonic Pathology, Healthy Heads, NEC Solutions, and Toyota, coaching teams in design thinking, agile practices, and modern product delivery. I also mentored designers, product managers, and engineers across varying levels of experience.

Earlier in my career at Huge, I worked as a Senior UX Designer on flagship projects for SK-II, a global skincare brand by Procter & Gamble. I launched SK-II’s first virtual city and led a 1.5-year initiative designing proprietary software used in over 250 retail stores across Japan. I also contributed to the Future X Smart Store, a global innovation lab redefining retail using interactive design, mobile apps, and motion detection hardware. Along the way, I’ve also pitched to clients like McDonald’s Japan, Cartier Japan, and Esplanade.

Beyond work, I contribute to the design and product community as a speaker, workshop facilitator, writer, and panellist. For more on my thinking and practice, feel free to explore my LinkedIn or Medium.

Outside of design, I enjoy brewing coffee with a Fellow Stagg EKG and a V60 Switch — a 4-minute ritual that results in a bright, balanced cup. In the evenings, I love exploring cocktail bars, especially those with tea-forward menus. I’m also slowly working toward setting up a home ceramics studio. And in early 2026, I’ll be publishing my first poetry collection.
